click here. UW Medical Center Heart Institute Clinic at Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a
full-time (100% FTE, 40 hours per week), day shift Program Coordinator to join our clinic! The Program Coordinator will play a key support role in a growing team that values exceptional patient care and collaboration.

Close proximity to public transportation DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The Heart Institute at UW Medical Center – Montlake provides a full range of heart healthcare and prevention services.
Our services include general cardiology, cardiac diagnostic imaging tests and procedures, cardiac surgery, arrhythmia management and electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, structural heart services, advanced heart failure management, heart transplant and ventricular assist devices (VADs), adult congenital heart disease management, cardiac psychiatry, cardiovascular genetics and other advanced services.
RESPONSIBILITIES Triage medical information in a specific medical or surgical specialty
Schedule post-surgery diagnostic procedures and follow-up patient appointments
Act as a liaison between patients, consulting physician, referring physician, or outside agency to coordinate patient appointments, admission, or surgery. Will coordinate the exchange of information either written or verbally before and after patients are seen
Obtain all necessary medical records, diagnostic studies, pathology items, etc., that are needed for patient care
Assist in scheduling new patient appointments by triaging to appropriate department and physician
Enter appointment information in online appointment system
Coordinate pre-admission tests and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in a medically related or public relations field
Two years of experience in a tertiary patient care setting involving interaction with a variety of medical services, contact with patients and families, interaction with physicians, and proficiency in medical terminology
OR
An equivalent combination of education/experience
