HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER, REHABILITATION IN PATIENT CARE SERVICES
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
Administratively direct, coordinate and systematically evaluate operational, financial and personnel components and functions for Rehabilitation Services across the continuum of care at Harborview Medical Center
Oversees the staff of the Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Prosthetics & Orthotics, Therapeutic Recreation, Rehabilitation Counseling and Inpatient Trauma Rehabilitation Nursing Unit as well as the Sleep Medicine Clinic and the ADA Paratransit Program. This includes inpatient services and clinic operations within the Divisions of Rehabilitation Medicine, Patient Care Services, and the Medical Center as a whole
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Complex scope spanning the continuum, requiring knowledge of inpatient and outpatient processes and Rehab regulatory requirements
Responsible for partnering with Harborview Medical Center Chief of Service, the Chair of Rehabilitation Medicine, the Medical Directors for Rehabilitation, and other Rehabilitation Services leaders at all UW Medicine entities to ensure alignment and growth towards meeting initiatives and metrics set within UW Medicine and HMC strategic plans
Responsible for multiple Rehabilitation budgets
Serves in dyad partnership with Rehabilitation Medicine Chief of Service and Medical Directors to develop Rehabilitation strategic plan and operationalize Rehabilitation Medicine initiatives across the continuum
Participates in organizational leadership development
REQUIREMENTS
Master’s degree in Nursing, Rehab discipline, Health Administration or Business
5 years of Clinical Experience in a Rehab discipline
5 years of Leadership Experience with accountability for a minimum of 30 FTEs
Current licensure in the selected clinical specialty
Equivalent experience may substitute for degree requirement
