AUDIOLOGIST 1. WORK SCHEDULE - FULL-TIME; 100% FTE; 40 hours per week
- Day Shift
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES This individual will be responsible for administration and direct application of audiology treatment modalities.
• Evaluate, plan, direct and treat all patients referred for audiology treatments to restore function and prevent disability following disease or injury
• Assist patients to obtain maximum performance and function in society while learning to live a routine “normal” life within the constraints of their disability
• Assure personal competency
• Provide departmental and nursing staff instruction on aspects of audiology
• Provide information related to departmental budget considerations in relationship to audiology needs for optimum patient care and service
• Assist in scheduling of patients visits for audiology evaluation and treatment
• Perform some administrative duties at the delegation of Clinical Director/Manager, and Audiology Supervisor.
• Participate in infection control, safety and educational programs, both in the department and on an organizational basis
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - A Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Audiology or Communicative Disorders.
OR Documentation of American Speech-Language-Hearing Association approved equivalent to the Master’s degree consisting of approved curriculum and student practicum hours.
AND A Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
- Two years of experience as a speech pathologist, audiologist, or equivalent is preferred.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
