    UW Medicine Business Systems Integration, Quality &Training
    POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
  • Newly established role responsible for designing and implementing a strategic roadmap for education and quality across the revenue cycle
  • Will reinforce standards based on data analytics, quality monitoring, process improvement, documentation and training development, system tools, change management, and ongoing education to drive continuous improvement
  • Collaborates with Revenue Cycle Leaders, Subject Matter Experts, Information Technology, and other key stakeholders to develop and refine training programs
  • Ensures training, monitoring and operations initiatives are implemented which secure compliance with ethical and legal business practices and accreditation/regulatory/government regulations
  • Deliver effective training that fosters a deep understanding of the revenue cycle, including systems, workflows, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Directs, develops and implements strategic training and quality solutions and operational/high level projects and processes either through independent/highly autonomous work or through the facilitation of work teams to enable the effective and efficient completion of objectives
  • Collaborates with management to determine annual goals, establishing training and educational programs for revenue cycle staff at all facilities
  • Provides oversight and direction for design of courses, creation of assessments and audit tools, and central documentation of projected and completed training
  • Develop training for Revenue Cycle system upgrades, annual updates, or process changes as needed
  • Engages closely with the Revenue Cycle operations teams to understand business needs, workflows, and KPIs. Collaborates with the Information Technology teams to translate these requirements into functional specifications
  • Oversees department operations, designated projects, schedules and activities as needed to ensure that goals or objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame
    REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Education, Informatics, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare operations, revenue cycle, workforce training, or quality assurance within a large, complex environment
  • 5 years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity, including responsibility for staff performance and development
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex system projects, including business system implementations, workflow integration, and technology optimization
  • Expertise in healthcare revenue cycle systems and automation tools, including Epic, HL7 interfaces, SQL, and GUI/ODBC environments
  • Familiarity with Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Large Language Models (LLMs)
  • Experience in workflow automation and systems integration projects
  • Understanding of healthcare IT systems and their impact on operational workflows
  • Equivalent experience may substitute for degree requirement
