  • $10,000 sign-on bonus (UW Medicine employees not eligible)
  • BSN (or higher) premium - $1.00/hour

    University of Washington Medical Center-Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced oncology nurse (RN) to work as a Break Relief RN for the Acute Clinical Evaluation (ACE) clinic located on our Blood and Marrow Transplant unit.
    WORK SCHEDULE
  • 20 hours per week
  • 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday
    DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
    8NE/Blood and Marrow Transplant/Oncology, which is the Fred Hutch Cancer Center hospital within our hospital, is 20-bed unit for patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplant (bone marrow, peripheral or cord blood transplant) and immunotherapy. The unit also has a 6 bed Acute Clinical Evaluation (ACE) clinic to handle outpatient symptom management and outpatient infusion.
    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides break relief coverage for the ACE nurses
  • Provides patient care including accessing ports and IVs for blood product administration
  • Care coordination in conjunction with other nurses and Advanced Practice Providers
  • May provide patient transport
    REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum of 2 years of inpatient or outpatient oncology nursing experience
  • Strong IV skills
  • BLS required
  • Washington State RN license required by start date
