Creative Communications has an outstanding opportunity for a Copy Center Equipment Operator (Copy Center Equipment Operator 3 NE S SEIU 925 Non Supv)
Basic Functions and Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Copy Center Supervisor and general policies and operating
procedures of Copy Services, this position will have the following responsibilities: Operate
networked high-speed digital copier/printers; may also operate digital color copy
equipment. Work with PCs and Mac Computers; manipulate files using a variety of
software; work closely with clients regarding these files. Schedule and maintain
production on equipment; operate small bindery equipment and any other peripheral
equipment. Assist supervisor in maintaining inventory, restocking supplies in center and
completing appropriate paperwork. Assist in leading and training student/hourly
employees. Work collaboratively on a dynamic team, using Lean for continuous
improvement. Provide customers with outstanding customer service. This position
requires the ability to work with a variety of people and to work under pressure while
maintaining a positive public service attitude.
Incumbent may be called upon to work overtime during peak work periods.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform High Speed Production on digital equipment:
Operate networked digital high-speed black and white equipment, maintaining production
and completing customer requests in a timely manner
Operate digital color copier, maintain production and complete customer requests
promptly
Operate various programs on PCs and Mac Computers Work with files from the FTP site, email,
or customer disk
Work to educate client on best method for transferring files
Will be required to run complex and complicated jobs, in addition to routine requests.
May lead the work of others
Post Production and Operating Peripheral Equipment (may include any of the following):
Pad completed orders (fan pad, glue pad, etc.)
Set up, adjust, and operate fold and saddle stitch machine
Operate tape, comb and/or coil binding equipment
Prepare materials for shipping to Publications Services for bindery completion
Operate cutter Operate laminator
Box, wrap, and label completed orders
Contact customer for pick-up and/or arrange for delivery
Other duties as needed.

Supervised by the Copy Center Supervisor.

None.
Minimum Qualifications :
High school graduation or GED certificate plus one year of experience in a high-speed photocopy production environment.
Desirable Qualifications :
Certificate customer service experience
Digital technology skills, including experience with on MAC's and/ or PCs and ability to use/ manipulate files on a variety of software programs
Must be able to life up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 100lbs
Experience in Wide Format shop or cut size digital print environment
Use of PACE Mangement Information System or EPS' Market Direct Storefront
