    Harborview Medical Center has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time Assistant Nurse Manager (RN3) to join our STD Clinic.
    WORK SCHEDULE:
  • 100% FTE, 40 hours per week
  • Day Shift

  • DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
    The Sexual Health Clinic is a Public Health-Seattle & King County service that provides confidential STD and HIV evaluation, screening, testing and treatment on a sliding-fee scale. The clinic can be accessed on a walk-in basis.

  • PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assume responsibility and accountability for the care and education of patients and direct and provide care to these patients in collaboration with other health care team members
  • Make independent judgments/decisions and takes action regarding a wide range of routine and complex staffing issues
  • Collaborate with appropriate disciplines to coordinate continuity of patient care from admission through discharge in support of the medical and nursing plans of care
  • Perform specific leadership functions related to clinical practice, education, and/or management as delegated by and in collaboration with the Nurse Manager
  • Patient placement and preceptor responsibility
  • Provide leadership for unit and departmental activities that promote: delivery of quality nursing care, effective problem solving and communication and continued professional development for self and others

  • REQUIREMENTS:
  • Active, valid Washington State or Multi-State RN license required by start date
  • Two years of professional nursing experience
  • Expertise in sexually transmitted infections and caring for LGBTQ+ and other marginalized populations, with an understanding in the pathogenesis, treatment, risk mitigation and prevention strategies of gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis and HIV
