Harborview Medical Center has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time Assistant Nurse Manager (RN3) to join our STD Clinic.
WORK SCHEDULE:

100% FTE, 40 hours per week

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
The Sexual Health Clinic is a Public Health-Seattle & King County service that provides confidential STD and HIV evaluation, screening, testing and treatment on a sliding-fee scale. The clinic can be accessed on a walk-in basis.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assume responsibility and accountability for the care and education of patients and direct and provide care to these patients in collaboration with other health care team members

Make independent judgments/decisions and takes action regarding a wide range of routine and complex staffing issues

Collaborate with appropriate disciplines to coordinate continuity of patient care from admission through discharge in support of the medical and nursing plans of care

Perform specific leadership functions related to clinical practice, education, and/or management as delegated by and in collaboration with the Nurse Manager

Patient placement and preceptor responsibility

Provide leadership for unit and departmental activities that promote: delivery of quality nursing care, effective problem solving and communication and continued professional development for self and others

REQUIREMENTS:

Active, valid Washington State or Multi-State RN license required by start date

Two years of professional nursing experience

Expertise in sexually transmitted infections and caring for LGBTQ+ and other marginalized populations, with an understanding in the pathogenesis, treatment, risk mitigation and prevention strategies of gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis and HIV
