Day Shift

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

In support of the day shift supervisor, act as team leader and the first point of contact for operator concerns and questions

Support staff in following call processes (including emergency codes)

Be a part of a team dedicated to supporting UW Medicine where Patients Are First

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

UW Medicine Telecom Team provides 24/7 coverage answering the UWMC and HMC switchboards

Our team values excellent customer service, timely response, accurate dispatch and paging, and courteous processing of calls

We receive, and route calls for our patients, their families, and staff
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Act as a Telephone Operator

Update hospital on-call schedules

Update hospital on-call schedules

Maintain thorough knowledge of operator processes and back up processes

Support team to establish excellent customer service standards

Create break schedule and ensure coverage is within standards

REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma, or GED Certificate; AND one year of experience as a Telephone Communications Operator, or equivalent. Six months of additional
qualifying experience may substitute for required education.

Excellent customer service skills.

Ability to work in a team setting.

Computer skills, including competent keyboard abilities.
