WORK SCHEDULE
  • 100%FTE
  • Day Shift

  • POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
  • In support of the day shift supervisor, act as team leader and the first point of contact for operator concerns and questions
  • Support staff in following call processes (including emergency codes)
  • Be a part of a team dedicated to supporting UW Medicine where Patients Are First

  • DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
  • UW Medicine Telecom Team provides 24/7 coverage answering the UWMC and HMC switchboards
  • Our team values excellent customer service, timely response, accurate dispatch and paging, and courteous processing of calls
  • We receive, and route calls for our patients, their families, and staff
    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Act as a Telephone Operator
  • Update hospital on-call schedules
  • Update hospital on-call schedules
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of operator processes and back up processes
  • Support team to establish excellent customer service standards
  • Create break schedule and ensure coverage is within standards

  • REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma, or GED Certificate; AND one year of experience as a Telephone Communications Operator, or equivalent. Six months of additional
    qualifying experience may substitute for required education.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a team setting.
  • Computer skills, including competent keyboard abilities.
