click here. $10,000.00 Recruitment Incentive for eligible positions and eligible new employees joining UW Medicine We are looking for Registered Nurse to join the UW Medicine Eye Institute, at Harborview Medical Center.
At the UW Medicine Eye Institute, our mission dovetails with our passion: to improve patients’ vision. We are exceptionally well-equipped for this mission because our doctors are also our researchers — and research leads to great patient care. In addition, we have an on-site Operating room where eye procedures are done with the assistance of anesthesia.
The Eye Institute OR RN supports surgical practices by providing care across the continuum including pre-anesthesia assessments, pre-procedure phone calls, patient intake, circulating cases pre/post-operative care.
What we do at UW Medicine Eye Institute Operating Room: Eye surgery- cataract, glaucoma procedures
Oculofacial plastic and orbital surgery
SCHEDULE
75% Day shift, no weekends, no holidays
This position will make post-op phone calls as needed
REQUIRMENTS
Have/obtain Washington state nursing license
Two or more years nursing experience
BLS
Operating room or recovery room experience
Have/obtain ACLS
Nice to have but not required
Experience with Surgical Specialties, preferred experience in ophthalmology
Experience in an OR, preferably Surgery Center
Experience Circulating/Scrubbing
Experience in Recovery room/ICU
