  • Evening premium - $1.50/hour
  • Night premium - $2.00/hour
  • Weekend premium - $1.50/hour
  • Overtime pay
  • Shift: Alternate Work Shift UW Medicine has outstanding opportunities for Nurse Technicians at our three hospital locations - Harborview Medical Center, UW Medical Center - Montlake, and UW Medical Center - Northwest. Clinical areas requesting Nurse Techs could include med-surg, oncology, neurology, cardiology, rehab, behavioral health, surgical, progressive care, ICU, emergency, transitional care, and perinatal.
    START DATE/ORIENTATION:
    May 22, 2025 or June 16, 2025
    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to assist in providing direct care, collect and document data gathered during the delivery of care and communicate findings and changes in patient condition to the supervising RN.
    • Collaborate with the other disciplines as appropriate to provide continuity of patient care from admission to discharge.
    • Perform a variety of tasks including transporting patients, supplies and specimens; ordering and stocking supplies; and ensuring patient safety through monitoring and assessment, safe patient mobilization and hygiene activities.
    ORIENTATION SCHEDULE:
    If you are offered a position, there is a required initial two session class orientation.
    Day One (May 22 or June 16, 2025): New Employee Orientation - 2:30pm-8:00pm In-Person
    Day Two: Specialized Nurse Tech EPIC training & access - 3pm-6pm Virtual
    REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Must be currently enrollment in a Washington State Board of Nursing approved Nursing Education Program and have at least 6 months to work prior to graduation.
    • Must have completed at least one clinical rotation by the start of Orientation.
    • CPR certification, resume, one clinical evaluation, and completed school Skills Checklist are required.
    • Be available to work a minimum of 1 day per week (some units require more).
