UW Medical Center-Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a Part Time Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our General Internal Medicine Clinic (GIMC) , which is located at our Roosevelt Center.
WORK SCHEDULE
  • Part time
  • 30 hours per week / 75% FTE
  • Monday - Friday only
  • Our clinic is closed on weekends and holidays
    The anticipated start date for this position is January 2025.
    DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
    The General Internal Medicine Clinic (GIMC) is a dynamic teaching clinic that provides patient-centered care with the best available medical evidence. The GIMC provides comprehensive services for adult patients, including behavioral health care, chronic disease management, preventive medicine, and primary care services.
    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides same day/urgent access for patients and provides patient care and care coordination support for fully empaneled primary care providers
  • With keen attention to the specific needs of patients, delivers excellent care with compassion and sound medical knowledge
  • Partners on patient care with attending physicians, resident physicians, APPs, and other care team members
  • Responds to patients' healthcare needs, providing triage, urgent care and interventions as necessary/appropriate
  • Follows patients, including longitudinal care and follow-up, in conjunction with other providers
    REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Training and experience in the provision of general internal medicine services, including initial assessment, diagnostic evaluation, and management of patients
  • DEA prescriptive authority
  • Proven excellence working in an interdisciplinary collaborative team environment
  • Effective interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and clinical expertise in patient care
  • Current and valid Washington State ARNP licensure or Physician Assistant licensure
  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program or an accredited Physician Assistant Program
