The Foster School of Business has an exciting opening for an Associate Director of Growth Marketing. This is a full-time, permanent position.
The University of Washington Foster School of Business (Foster) seeks an innovative and experienced Associate Director of Growth Marketing to spearhead data-driven marketing strategies and initiatives that promote Foster’s programs and centers, attract prospective students, drive enrollment, and enhance our institution’s reputation and global visibility. This role will be expected to champion growth across all of Foster’s education programs and its affiliated institutes/centers, emphasizing new initiatives and special projects.
The Associate Director of Growth Marketing is a leader on Foster's Marketing & Communications team, reporting to Foster’s Chief Marketing Officer.
What You Will Do:
Strategic Planning and Research (45%)
•Shape the strategic direction of Foster’s marketing and communications department with a focus on program recruitment.
•Develop and independently oversee the execution of 360° marketing strategies that grow enrollment for graduate, professional, and executive education programs, as well as special initiatives, in alignment with Foster’s institutional goals and objectives.
•Provide insights and recommendations for positioning and differentiation that result in optimal growth across the full portfolio of graduate, professional and executive education programs.
•Work closely with program admissions teams to optimize lead generation, conversion and enrollment processes, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for prospective applicants.
•Oversee the marketing budget for specific campaigns. Forecast expenditures and assess the efficacy of marketing tactics through thorough post-campaign analysis.
•Optimize resource allocation to achieve maximum impact and return on investment.
Digital Marketing and Content Production (25%)
•Working with the Content Team, Design Team and individual program and center leaders, direct the production of high-quality marketing materials that highlight the value and distinctiveness of programs and special initiatives.
•Align all content with brand standards and strategic goals, managing distribution across multiple channels.
•In collaboration with the Digital & Operations Team and program and center leaders, manage marketing efforts, optimize campaigns and maximize online visibility and engagement among potential applicants and industry professionals.
Analytics and Reporting (25%)
•Working with the Director of Analytics, monitor KPIs and growth benchmarks for programs and special initiatives, utilizing this data to drive actionable strategies for expansion and growth.
•Conduct market research on graduate program enrollment trends and integrate new marketing approaches, promotional campaigns and methodologies to maintain Foster’s competitive edge.
•Facilitate optimization through rigorous testing and measurement to enhance campaign performance and drive superior outcomes.
•Develop reporting and support web analytics requests in GA4 to surface insights and trends that will inform strategic business decisions based on site traffic, conversion rates and page performance KPIs.
Other duties as assigned (5%)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
A bachelor’s degree AND at least five years of professional experience, with preferred experience within a higher education environment.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
What You Bring:
•Marketing experience focused on increasing awareness, affinity and enrollment in an academic institution.
•Experience developing and executing strategic plans and comprehensive marketing campaigns.
•Demonstrated testing and iterating skills that rely heavily on marketing data.
•SEO and CRM data management experience.
•Familiarity with Google Analytics 4 (GA4.)
•Strong organizational skills, relationship-building, initiative, creativity and resourcefulness.
