Harborview - Food and Nutrition Services has an outstanding opportunity for a FOOD SERVICE WORKER 2 .
WORK SCHEDULE
  • 100% FTE, Evenings, Nights
  • Days off are Mon and Tuesday. Wed, Thur, Frid, Sat and Sun, 11p-7:30A
    POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
  • This position is responsible for serving food individually from a steam table, providing outstanding customer service, cleaning, and sanitizing surfaces.

    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform duties as a cook’s or baker’s helper or serve as a lead employee in food preparation and serving and/or dishwashing
  • Weigh, prepare and serve meals to meet specific diet requirements of inpatients and psychiatric patients
  • Participate in cleaning work area and equipment
  • Serve food to customers, patients and visitors in a friendly congenial sensitive manner.
  • Transport food, supplies, and equipment to and from kitchen, dining areas, storerooms, and refrigerators
  • Serves food individually or from steam tables, salad, and sandwich bar.
  • Stocks work areas, First in First out (FIFO) methods to minimize waste.
  • May check patient Room Service or Psychiatric Service food trays to assure
    REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Possession of, or eligible to obtain a Washington State Food Worker Card within two weeks of employment AND one year of experience preparing and serving food and beverage or equivalent education/experience
