Nurse Manager, Cardiothoracic ICU .
WORK SCHEDULE Full time, day shift.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS Function as a liaison between patients, physicians and other healthcare providers
Provides leadership and coordination for the Cardiothoracic ICU
Guides and directs the activities of the Staff Nurses, Assistant Managers, Patient Care Technicians and support staff in the designated unit.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
The Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit is a 24 bed unit. Patient population includes cardiac and thoracic surgery patients, vascular, heart and lung transplants, MCS, VV, ECLS, and TAVR.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides Human Resources support hiring staff, development of performance standards
Demonstrates excellent customer service that ensures patients and family members are attended to in a professional manner.
Supports hospital mission and objectives
Monitors high standards/care practice by team
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Masters degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or related field, or enrolled in a Master’s program. At least two years formal supervisory leadership experience in ICU services preferably cardiothoracic, cardiac ICU. An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements.
