benefits for more information Harborview Medical Center is thrilled to announce a new opportunity within our Same Day Surgery Procedure Area. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Outpatient Ambulatory Surgical Services to join our team.
Responsibilities: The Director of Outpatient Ambulatory Surgical Services will be at the helm of directing, managing, and coordinating all clinical and operational aspects of the Same Day Surgery and Procedure Center (SDSPC). This pivotal role serves as the linchpin between the clinicians utilizing SDSPC and its operational efficiency, ensuring alignment with our institution's Core Values. Key responsibilities include:
Patient satisfaction.
Optimizing efficiency metrics.
Assisting in streamlining the Main Operating Room (OR) by redirecting appropriate cases to the SDSPC.
Collaborating with the SDSPC Medical Director and SDSPC Operations Council.
Safety, experience, quality, operational excellence, and financial outcomes.
Clinical and operational leads within the SDSPC.
Fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Opening and operational readiness of new facilities.
Strategizing for the adoption of best practices and integration of support services across all Ambulatory Surgery Services settings.
Skills:
Interpersonal communication to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
Decision-making abilities to navigate complex operational challenges.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey strategic initiatives and objectives.
Comprehensive understanding of clinical operations and ambulatory surgical clinical environments.
Expertise in clinical and operational requirements to drive efficiency and quality.

Requirements:
Have/obtain a registered nurse license for Washington state or multi-state license.
Have/obtain an Advance Register Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Washington.
Graduated from an accredited school for Nursing (RN/ARNP) or Physician Assistant.
Five or more years of experience in a senior leadership role within an ambulatory or hospital-based surgery center.
Bachelor's degree or higher in HealthCare Administration, Business, or Nursing.
