Swedish Medical Center is looking for a MRI Technologist (0.9 FTE, Evening SHIFT) to work in Medical Imaging Department at Swedish Redmond in Redmond, WA.

$5,000 Hiring Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment - this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Swedish that begin on your first day of employment.

Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, conducts and performs MRI examinations, and assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as described or required.

In this position you will:

• Demonstrates complete understanding of MRI applications.
• Accurately provides diagnostic images and related functions.
• Demonstrates working knowledge of human anatomy to satisfactorily allow optimum positioning of patients for imaging procedure. Performs procedure in a manner, which allows patients to be comfortable, both physically and emotionally.
• Demonstrates knowledge and application of MRI safety standards.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge and information of current techniques.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

• Satisfactory completion of a formal radiologic technology training program.
• At the time of hire must have Radiologic Technologist registry by ARRT.
• Washington State Certified Radiologic Technologist – Diagnostic license required.
• Post primary certification in MRI required within one year of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers required at time of hire from American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network (MTN).

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

• 2 years Experience as a radiologic technologist, with one year of experience in an MRI department.

About the Redmond Campus.

The Redmond center encompasses nearly 85,000 square feet of space on three floors. It has 18 emergency exam rooms, open and staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week; an advanced diagnostic imaging center (with X-ray, mammography, ultrasound, CT scan and MRI), staffed by partners from Seattle Radiology; an on-site laboratory; and offices for primary- and specialty-care providers. Swedish Redmond will immediately treat patients suffering from stroke to severe lacerations or burns, broken bones, sports injuries, allergic reactions, food poisoning, work-related injuries and many other medical emergencies and non-emergencies.
