Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Prospective Payment System Coordinator (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in Rehab Administration at Swedish Cherry Hill in Seattle, WA.
The PPS (Prospective Payment System) Coordinator is responsible for regulatory oversight of the Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU), to include adherence with DNV, DOH, CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) and IRF PPS (Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility Prospective Payment System) requirements. The PPS Coordinator oversees the process of providing accurate and timely data to the appropriate federal and state entities, CARF, and CMS. Using discretion and independent judgment, the PPS Coordinator is responsible for the oversight of the IRF-PAI (Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility – Patient Assessment Information) process. The PPS Coordinator oversees all aspects of data collection for the IRF-PAI to ensure the presence of supporting documentation and that the data is congruent, conducts ongoing review of the CMS data submitted and the patient's medical record to assure that the documentation is accurate, oversight regarding the length of stay in collaboration with the clinical team, and provides staff education to ensure compliance with CMS guidelines. In addition, the PPS Coordinator develops and interprets policies and procedures and acts as the primary resource for immediate problem solving in regards to QI scoring/training, CARF survey readiness, regulatory audit requests, and ARU specific quality improvement initiatives. This position requires a positive working relationship with interdisciplinary staff as well as serving as a regulatory educator to staff. Providing back up coverage for the Admissions Coordinator-Case Manager is required every other weekend and as needed.
