UW Medical Center – Montlake has an exciting opportunity for a per diem (0% FTE, variable hours per week), day shift REGISTERED NURSE to join our Women's Health Care Center (WHCC), located at our Roosevelt Clinic. This position will support several clinic providers specializing in internal medicine and several clinic providers specializing in OB/GYN care.
SCHEDULE:
The Registered Nurse will work variable hours each week. Shifts will run from 8:45am - 5:15pm or 9:00am - 5:30pm depending on the day. This a Monday - Friday position with no weekend or holiday responsibilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Registered Nurse will work closely with our internal medicine patients to provide consultative care. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for answering patient calls and eCare messages, following up on medical records and test results, managing prescriptions and referrals, and providing nursing advice in person, via phone and via telehealth. The Registered Nurse will play an active role on our women's health phone line and will handle phone triage on a daily basis.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 2 years of current or recent experience in medical-surgical, internal medicine, women's health, or OB/GYN nursing

  • LEGAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • An active Registered Nurse license in the State of Washington

  • DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 3+ years of internal medicine experience, including telephone triage
