Job Description
We’re looking for a Senior Financial Planning and Analysis ("FP&A") Business Partner to help us support the next exciting phase in Hootsuite’s growth. As a Senior, FP&A Business Partner, you will quickly gain a deep understanding of our business and be a key player in the implementation of a cloud-based corporate financial planning system and assist in the preparation of the annual budget and rolling forecast. You will be a champion in process redesign and process improvement. You will directly support FP&A's stakeholders by providing insightful financial analyses, commentary and business recommendations to help drive business performance. You are equally adept at analyzing numbers and building strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders. While based in Hootsuite’s Vancouver or Toronto office (post COVID19) or remotely across in BC or Ontario (in accordance with Hootsuite's local employment entities), you will report to the Senior Manager, FP &A.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Assist in the implementation of FP&A software from data curation, development of financial reports and appropriate templates, testing, to the deployment of the system
- Play a key role in software acceptance and training across the organization
- Prepare the annual budget and rolling forecast for functional departments assigned
- Collaborate with budget holders to monitor actual results vs. budget and meet regularly with budget holders to review variances
and changes. - Serve as a key business partner working directly with stakeholders to provide financial analysis and support in regards to strategic planning, scenario modeling and supporting the development of business cases.
- Prepare recurring management, board and investor reporting, including variance analysis
- Provide analysis, commentary and insights for inclusion in corporate performance reporting to executives, Board and investors.
- Prepare financial models for complex business cases and decision support, including discounted cash flow and financial statement modeling
- Provide analysis, commentary and insights for inclusion in corporate performance reporting to executives, Board and investors.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Considerable years of experience in an FP&A or similar role
- Possess a professional accounting designation CPA, CFA, or an MBA
- Financial modeling and analyzing data and performance, in Excel/Google Sheets and cloud-based financial planning tools.
- Experience working with Netsuite, Workday, Adaptive Planning or Salesforce is an asset
- Strong knowledge of key SaaS metrics is an asset
