Swedish Medical Center is calling a Retail Pharmacist (Per diem FTE, Day Shift) to work at Swedish First Hill campus in Seattle, WA.

The Pharmacist is a member of a multi-disciplinary team and is responsible for assuring safe, efficient, cost effective drug therapy for all patients.The pharmacist is responsible for providing clinical drug information to meet the needs of the customers, including physicians, nurses, patients and other healthcare professionals. This position is responsible for participating in the training, orientation and education of staff.

In this position you will:

• Interpret and validate orders in regard to legibility and content
• Check patient record for pertinent information before processing order
• Evaluate dosage regimen for appropriateness of dosage, interval, formulation and duration of therapy
• Prepare, check and dispense medications following approved procedures
• Make recommendations to physicians or other health professionals regarding patient-specific drug therapy

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

• A graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy
• A current license to practice as a registered pharmacist in the State of Washington
