Swedish is calling for a Program Manager Acute Care (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in Quality And Patient Safety (Acute Care & Critical Care) at Swedish Shared Services in Seattle, WA.

The Program Manager supports the COO, Acute Services and Executive Medical Directors of Acute in strategy development, feasibility assessment, implementation and ongoing management of key programmatic development initiatives. Program initiatives assigned cover a broad spectrum to include: new services feasibility and development; quality assessment and improvement; financial performance; facility, equipment and supply needs; new technology assessment; and, market evaluation and communications. This position is responsible for leading complex programs/projects to include the creation and oversight of project timeliness, plans and schedules. Administers the process of analyzing requirements and makes recommendations and facilitates system and process change as needed. Assures analysis and management of the total needs of the assigned programs/projects.

In this position you will:

  • PMI certification must be obtained within one year of hire.
  • Ability to lead all phases of project completion/development from idea, value proposition, design, development, execution and outcome/measurement.
  • Partners with Quality and Nursing to drive growth and overall project completion.
  • Can function at a high level of independence and can lead cross functional teams.
  • Leads projects across campuses of First Hill, Issaquah, Ballard, Edmonds and Cherry Hill and has ability to standardize processes.
  • Resolves issues by logically investigating and analyzing symptoms to accurately identify and resolve problems on a multi-campus level.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Seven (7) years progressive responsibility preferably in a health care setting

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's Degree Health Administration or Business Administration Or equivalent educ/experience
  • Strong verbal communication and listening skills
  • Ability to work within tight timeframes and meet strict deadlines
