Position Summary:
The Windows System Administrator, Sr. position is an expert-level technical position. This position provides technical analysis, installation, maintenance, and modification of the environments supporting Windows servers. Determines Microsoft Windows operating system software architecture ensuring hardware/software compatibility for the server environment and is responsible for evaluating new operation system software products. Participates in installations, tests, and implementations of system hardware, software, manufacturer’s maintenance releases and utilities. Analyzes system performance to ensure it is meeting availability and performance objectives. Assists team personnel in resolution of hardware, operating systems, and application software problems. Develops documentation on system specifications and operating instructions.

Minimum Requirements:
Seven – ten (7 – 10) years experience in Windows server operations, implementing, operating, maintaining or using (as a “super user”) systems in an Information Technology or health care setting.
Previous installation experience with healthcare systems, databases, and interfaces in hospitals and/or clinic settings or with a healthcare system vendor preferred.
Five (5) years’ leadership experience, including interviewing and hiring, decision-making, staff mentoring, staff development and peer-review or evaluation, preferred.
Specific recent relevant Information Technology or healthcare experience may be substituted for education.

Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or Information Technology preferred.
Technical certification (MCSE, Network+, A+, Security+, etc.) required.
Current Washington State Drivers License; and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MHS Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state

Citrix, Cloud and back-up experience strongly preferred.
