About this role

As a Software Test and Automation Engineer, you will participate in the full software development lifecycle for a large system – at scale. You will be part of a large team of engineers working on wireless technologies and based in Bangalore , India. Your focus will be on developing the software to deliver quality through automation, testing , networking and tooling . You will contribute to defining, implementing and executing tests for our wireless solutions on network operating systems running on wireless solutions, controllers and access points. Th is role requires learning about Cisco products and solutions, wireless technolog ies, test methodolog ies , software frameworks and tools . Y our contributions as part of this team will have direct impact into connectivity experience for critically important applications worldwide. In addition, you will have the opportunity to learn and contribute to emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence.

A s an integral member of this team, you will work with a diverse group of engineers at all career levels. We architect, design, and develop some of the key features that are continuously evolving towards enabling the support of newer and exciting customer business paradigms. You will interact and collaborate closely with some of the finest talent in the industry – work that is both fun and challenging!

• Ability to write software in C, C++ or Python .
• Knowledge and understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP and protocols.
• Ability to learn and effectively apply new technologies and tools.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Bonus Skills

• Knowledge of or experience with Artificial intelligence and Machine Learning ; building and using the tools for software development.
• Knowledge of wireless networking technologies like 802.11 , Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Zigbee/ 802.15.4 or others .
• Ability to write code in additional languages such as Java, Kotlin , Javascript or others .
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms .
• Experience in troubleshooting and problem solving with coding, testing, and debugging.
• Prior experience with software quality assurance, test or test automation.
• Certifications (CCNA) or e xperience with networking products from Cisco or other vendor s .

Who You Are

• Recent graduate or early career engineer with BS/MS in Computer Science or Engineering .
• Can demonstrate up to 2 years of experience from study, projects, internships or apprenticeships.
• Passion for software development, networking and quality .
• Desire for excellence and w illing ness to learn and grow .
• Interest in kick-starting your tech career and building the future of networking .
