Introduction to the role:

  • Serve as primary contact for Engagement Services contract queries and redlines.
  • Interpret clauses on IP, confidentiality, data protection, cybersecurity, and compliance.
  • Advise on and negotiate redlines in PSAs, MSAs, SOWs, and patient-related agreements.
  • Collaborate with CCT, Data Privacy, IT Security, Patient Safety, and Compliance on complex issues.
  • Develop and maintain contract templates with key institutions to increase efficiency and reduce repeat negotiations.
  • Update E3S contract playbook, fallback positions, and clause library in partnership with CCT.
  • Train and mentor team on contract review, escalation, and best practices; ensure training stays current with E3S Training Specialists.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal policies, external regulations, and industry standards.
  • Gather customer feedback to drive continuous contract process improvements and technology adoption.
  • Create and manage data metrics and dashboards to provide insights to E3S Leadership.
  • Participate in meetings, training, and projects to support ongoing improvement of Engagement Services support.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience in contract review or management within pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences sectors.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory and legal requirements for contracts with HCPs, experts, patients, and patient advocates.
  • Strong ability to clearly communicate legal and contractual concepts to non-legal audiences.
  • Proficiency with information and technology systems (e.g., Microsoft applications).
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication.
  • Independent, broad thinker able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong ethical standards, collaborative mindset, and effective influencing skills.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • A Law Degree or Paralegal experience.
  • Experience in managing HCP/Expert contracts as an E3S Engagement Specialist/Analyst.
  • Proficiency with contract drafting lifecycle management systems and tools, including CRUELLA.
