Our Objectives

Boeing Korea Engineering and Technology Center (BKETC) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated AI/ML Researcher to join our cutting-edge research team. As an AI/ML Researcher, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning through innovative research, algorithm development, and the application of machine learning techniques focused on autonomy, aircraft manufacturing, factory digitalization, etc. Your work will have a direct impact on developing state-of-the-art AI/ML models and systems that address real-world challenges and push the boundaries of intelligent systems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct groundbreaking research in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning, focusing on techniques including but not limited to neural networks, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and other advanced models.
• Develop novel algorithms and methodologies for tasks such as classification, regression, anomaly detection, time series analysis, optimization, and more.
• Implement and experiment with state-of-the-art AI/ML models and techniques, adapting them to specific problem domains and datasets including autonomous flight, aircraft manufacturing, factory digitalization, etc.
• Develop ML/DL models operating on our MLOps system that complies with aviation safety requirements.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning by actively participating in conferences, workshops, and relevant academic publications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define research objectives, scope, and methodologies, and contribute to project planning and execution.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Master’s degree with at least three years of work experience or Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Statistics
• Education or experience in software development/engineering
• Applicants must have in-depth knowledge in Machine Learning/Deep Learning
• Coding experience in more than one software language (ex: C, C++, C#, Java, Python, Javascript, Matlab, and so on.)
• Applicants must have the enthusiasm to learn new technologies and improve their skillsets
• This role requires creativity, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills
• Proper verbal and written English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Ph.D. degree with at least two years of work experience in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Statistics
• The ideal candidate is a self-starter and someone who works well within a team
• Good to have at least an intermediate level of knowledge in server engineering, including resource management on multi-GPUs across multiple servers.
• Good to have at least an intermediate level of knowledge in relevant industries, such as aviation or commercial operations.
• Nice to have field experience in developing and executing projects using machine learning techniques to optimize processes, reduce downtime, and improve quality.
• Nice to have winning experience in machine learning or data science competition challenges.
• Nice to have publication records in top-tier machine learning or artificial intelligence conferences.

Job Responsibilities:

• 최첨단 AI/ML 모델과 기술을 구현하고 실험하며, 자율 비행, 항공기 제조, 공장 디지털화 등 특정 문제 영역과 데이터 세트에 맞게 최적화합니다.
• 항공 안전 요구 사항을 준수하는 MLOps 시스템에서 작동하는 ML/DL 모델을 개발합니다.
• 회의, 워크숍 및 관련 학술 출판물에 적극 참여하여 AI 및 머신러닝의 최신 발전 동향을 파악합니다.
• 다양한 기능 팀과 협력하여 연구 목표, 범위 및 방법론을 정의하고, 프로젝트 계획 및 실행에 기여합니다.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 공학, 컴퓨터 과학, 수학 또는 통계학 분야의 석사 학위와 최소 3년의 경력 또는 박사 학위.
• 신경망 및 딥러닝 아키텍처를 포함한 기계 학습 기술을 사용하여 AI/ML 모델을 설계하고 구현한 광범위한 경험.
• Python과 같은 프로그래밍 언어에 대한 높은 숙련도 및 머신러닝 라이브러리 (TensorFlow, PyTorch 등)를 사용한 경험.
• 지도 학습, 비지도 학습, 강화 학습 및 모델 평가 기법을 포함한 AI/ML 기본 원리에 대한 깊은 지식.
• 연구 계획을 수립하고 실험을 설계하며 결과를 해석할 수 있는 높은 수준의 분석 및 문제 해결 능력.
• 대규모 데이터 처리, 분산 컴퓨팅 및 클라우드 플랫폼에 대한 경험.
• 기술적 전문가나 비전문가에게도 복잡한 기술 개념을 설명할 수 있는 뛰어난 구두 및 서면 의사소통 능력.
• 글로벌 팀과 효과적으로 협력하기 위한 능숙한 영어

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 공학, 컴퓨터 과학, 수학 또는 통계학 분야의 박사 학위와 최소 2년의 경력.
• 자발적이며 팀 내에서 잘 협력하는 성향.
• 다중 서버에서 다중 GPU의 자원 관리 등을 포함한 서버 엔지니어링에 대한 중급 이상의 지식
• 항공 및 상업 비행 운영에 대한 중급 수준 이상의 지식.
• 제조 프로세스를 최적화하고 가동 중지 시간을 줄이며 품질을 개선하기 위한 머신러닝 기술을 사용한 제조 프로젝트 개발 및 실행 경험.
• 머신러닝 또는 데이터 과학 경진 대회에서의 수상 경험.
• 최고 수준의 머신러닝 또는 컴퓨터 비전 학회에서의 발표 경험
