The candidate will act as the payroll management officer for clients of the payroll service center who have chosen this option. The incumbent is responsible for carrying out all phases related to payroll processing for the company. They are responsible for confirming needs to ensure client satisfaction.
Perform complete payroll management for the client.
- Enter necessary data for setting up new employee records and other information related to employee compensation.
- Compile and summarize payroll data for management reporting purposes.
- Execute predefined imports and exports.
- Produce, analyze, and interpret payroll reports.
- Occasionally work outside normal hours to meet client needs.
- Provide telephone support and follow up on requests (e.g., creation, modification of earnings/deductions, special reports, payment stops, special payroll, etc.).
- Make changes to company records and follow up.
- Keep the payroll processing procedures of assigned clients up to date.
- Guide clients on current payroll legislation.
- Support clients in using various payroll modules and complementary options.
- Work closely with team members and other departments.
- Stay informed of changes affecting our solutions.
College diploma in administration, accounting, or a related field, or any other combination of education and relevant experience.
- A minimum of four years of experience in payroll.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Analytical, synthesis, and planning skills.
- Good priority management.
- Teamwork and communication skills.
- Organizational skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to manage stress.
- Knowledge of various payroll solutions.
- Experience with import and export files (an asset).
- Knowledge of group insurance management (an asset).
- Knowledge of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate) and Microsoft Access (an asset).
- Excellent command of French, both spoken and written (essential).
- Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) certification (an asset).
Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position due to the nature of the role requiring interaction with national and global clients.
