SUMMARY OF ROLE:
This position provides global program management and matrixed leadership to global, cross-functional teams to drive complex, post-market programs (i.e., multi-region/indications and/or alliance partners). GPMs drive critical activities required to fulfill Takeda’s commitment to patients for the life of our products, including but not limited to
· lifecycle management programs
· post-marketing commitments to health authorities
· post-marketing safety studies
· overall program benefit/risk assessment, and
development and execution of geographic expansion strategies in collaboration with global, regional and local colleagues

EDUCATION AND SKILLS
Education
· Bachelor’s Degree science or business-related field
· Advanced degree in science or business is preferred
Experience
· Approximately 5-7 years of strong pharmaceutical industry experience and drug development in all phases of development with significant experience within related functions (e.g. Marketing, Clinical Operations, Regulatory, Manufacturing, CMC, Clinical Science)
· Approximately 3-5 years program management experience leading complex pharmaceutical projects in a multi-disciplinary, global environment
· Experience working on marketed products is preferred, but not required

Knowledge and Skills
· Therapeutic Area knowledge preferable, but not required
· Experience with Microsoft Project Professional, Excel, PowerPoint & Word
· Fluent in English
· Simultaneous management of multiple tasks of varied complexity
· Leadership experience in managing global, matrix teams
· Ability to positively influence outcomes, key project decisions, and strategic problem-solving in a matrix environment
· Ability to communicate clearly and present key information objectively to all levels of the organization including executive management; effective presentation, written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to break down complex problems into small manageable pieces for execution
· Ability to drive decision-making within cross-functional & cross-cultural, global team structures
· Ability to work in a virtual setting/across time-zones, i.e., making effective use of communication tools (WebEx, MS Teams, etc.); Must demonstrate flexibility in working hours when dealing with different time zones
· Ability to work in a highly complex, global, multi-cultural, environment

Project Management Professional certification with PMI desired

Boston, MAU.S. Base Salary Range:
$137,000.00 - $215,270.00The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
