PHARMACY TECHNICIAN 2 - DISTRIBUTION AND PHARMACY WHOLESALER to join our Pharmacy Purchasing team!
WORK SCHEDULE • Full-Time / 40 hours per week
• Rotating/Variable Shift
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS • Work within the Pharmacy Purchasing Team on pharmaceutical purchasing and pharmacy wholesale distribution
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Order, receive, and deliver drugs and supplies from all vendors. Review invoice receipts and packing slips from all vendors.
• Prepare and pack shipments of medications to whole pharmacy customers.
• Process invoicing of pharmaceuticals to pharmacy customers
• Perform drug borrow/loan with other hospitals in the area. Create and maintain borrow/loan documentation.
• Maintain adequate inventory of pharmaceuticals for UW Medicine. Coordinate the movement of stock items when drugs are in short supply.
• Communicate shortages and backorders to staff as necessary.
• Provide Sunday and holiday purchasing coverage, working as the only purchasing personnel on duty.
Strong candidates will have working knowledge of pharmacy wholesaler purchasing systems and pharmacy or materials management information systems.
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Six months of experience as a Pharmacy Technician 1 OR equivalent education/experience.
LEGAL REQUIREMENT State of Washington Pharmacy Technician certification.
