The Role The Veeva Basic Sales team is seeking an entrepreneurial Business Development Representative (BDR) who is eager to unearth opportunities and connect emerging life sciences companies with our easy solution. This is a dual role, part sales part marketing that is integral to the success of the basics team in Europe. As BDR, you will evangelize Veeva Basics and support our marketing activities to emerging biotech companies within Europe If you're a proactive go-getter with a knack for turning conversations into conversions, come and help us make a difference in the life sciences industry. This is a once in a career opportunity to go to market with a product customers need.
What You'll Do
- Work within a defined territory to generate and qualify new opportunities
- Research and develop a strategic plan for opening new meetings in Europe
- Collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Partner closely with sales teams to advance and close opportunities
- Build trusted relationships with customers, understand their needs, and recommend the right approach in emerging biotech
- Coordinating marketing activities such as webinars, round tables & community events
- Coordinate and iterate the outreach channels for all of basic Europe
- Being the expert on our products, industry processes and culture
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience
- Experience in Sales Development in Technology and/or Life Sciences
- Experience of marketing to an European market
- Fluent English
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Team-first mentality
- Self-starter, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take initiative
- BA or BS Degree (STEM, Economics, Accounting, etc.) with solid academic performance
- Willingness to travel as needed (~25%)
- Legally authorized to be employed in the UK without limitations or restrictions
Nice to Have
- Experience in Consulting, Customer Success, or Project Management
- Experience in scientific research or in clinical trials-related topics
- Business language capacity in Danish and/or Swedish - any other language is a plus
- Supported and run large customer events
