We are looking for an experienced Environment Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should be passionate as an Environment Support Engineer within Environments Management organization, you will work closely with the Environments Support manager on supporting, and enhancing, our pre-production environments.
Responsibilities:
• Experienced talented software engineers
• 3+ years’ experience in supporting share application infrastructure
• 3+ years’ experience with automation tools like Solstice or similar
• 3+ years’ experience with system software/monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Glassbox or similar
• Experience with integrating in-house developed solution and vendor products to provide a stable testing environment for new/enhanced application solutions
• Oncall experience for addressing troubleshooting tickets
• Solid communication, presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills
Desired
• 5+ years’ experience in supporting share application infrastructure
• 5+ years’ experience with automation tools like Solstice or similar
• 3+ years of experience as a system admin supporting Unix and Windows
• 3+ years of Software Engineering with languages like Python, Java or JavaScript
• Self-motivated, willing to take initiative, capable of simultaneously working on multiple assignments, team-player, able to adapt and apply new technologies when needed.
• Experience with Container Technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift
Job Description
Responsible for supporting and ongoing care and feeding of the pre-production environments.
Key responsibilities:
• Linux windows server admin and maintenance, patching in sprint, applying and managing Licenses/Certificates and their renewals in QA environment.
• Implementation of network infrastructures consisting of servers, networking, software, and network devices
• Advanced knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within technical support and Windows Administration
• Advanced knowledge on App Server, Web Server, Databases (Starting / Stopping Server, Looking at the logs, etc.)
• Basic scripting skills
• Experience monitoring tools - Dynatrace, Glassbox and Grafana
• Intermediate knowledge in SCM tools like ServiceNow and Jira.
• Prioritize workflow, document processes, organize diverse material, and handle multiple competing and changing priorities
• Scripting self-healing capabilities for routine issues
• Conduct Review calls with Infra and Application Team to understand current state
• Assess current state and identify opportunities for automation and toil reduction
• Design and implement framework to categorize / prioritize tasks that can be fully automated / Semi automated / avoided
