Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Entry-level or Associate Fabrication Specialist (Painter) to join the team based out of Salt Lake City, Utah.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for painting the exterior and interior areas of a company’s projects
  • Execute pre-painting activities, including cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching, caulking, and masking of adjacent surfaces prior to painting, papering, texturing, etc. if required
  • Follow management’s instructions in maintaining an inventory of paint and supplies
  • Follow the manager’s instruction in executing the job utilizing appropriate finishes and applications
  • Comply with OSHA/MSDS guidelines with respect to the use of hazardous chemicals
  • Stay up to date with storage and disposal laws, regulations, codes, etc.
  • Cleaning of areas, supplies, and equipment at the completion of project
  • Assist in storing leftover paint in the appropriate locations
  • Support team with special maintenance projects as needed

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ months of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience
  • 3+ months of experience sanding, taping, mixing material and application of paint
  • 3+ months of experience in industrial paint prep/masking
  • Ability to work any shift based on the needs of the operation
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with Lean Principles (Continuous Improvement, Standard Work, and 5-S tools)
  • Experience managing or working with safety, quality, and manufacturing performance data

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range | Entry-Level (Level A): $48,000 - $49,000

Summary pay range | Associate (Level B): $54,000 - $64,000
