Tapestry Solutions, a part of Boeing Global Services BGS, is seeking a System Administrator in Omaha, NE. In this position, you will report directly to the Information Assurance Manager and is an exciting opportunity to use your experience providing advanced computing solutions.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Administer, configure, and troubleshoot multiple Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) instances
  • Collaborate with software engineers to develop the best technical approach for challenging integration issues
  • Communicate to senior software engineers and project managers, including identifying risks, opportunities, and dependencies
  • Use tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket/Git
  • Support creation and updating of all relevant documentation and specifications for design, development and testing
  • Identify potential roadblocks and develop plans to mitigate them

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience using and administering JMPS
  • Expertise administering Windows (e.g., installation, configuration, testing (functional and security), operations, maintenance, and system patching)
  • Proficiency with virtualization (e.g., virtual machines, hypervisors, etc.)
  • Proficiency with a scripting programming language (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell)
  • Proficiency with web application servers (e.g., Apache Tomcat, JBoss, Oracle WebLogic, etc.)
  • Proficiency with an issue/problem tracking system (e.g., Jira)
  • Proficiency with multiple operating systems
  • Familiarity with configuring and managing SQL databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MS SQL
  • Proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, & PowerPoint)
  • Final DoD TS/SCI Clearance

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Microsoft Azure, RHEL, and/or Windows Server certification
  • Experience with containerization technology (Docker, Podman)
  • Familiarity with implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)
  • Proficiency with configuration management techniques using Ansible
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies (MS Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
  • Experience with USSTRATCOM Nuclear Planning process
  • Experience with the use of the Air Vehicle Planning System (APS)
  • DOD 8570 IAT level 2 baseline certification

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary base pay range $82,450 - $97,000
