The Indigeneous Wellness Research Institute has an outstanding opportunity for an Hourly Program Assistant (NE H NI SEIU 925 Non Supv) to join their team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as primary contact with study participants; explain purpose of research study and protocols.
  • Screen prospective participants to determine eligibility according to research protocol entrance criteria; conduct interviews according to established protocol.
  • Compose correspondence, printed materials, and/or news releases related to research program policies, procedures, and operations; edit materials for accuracy, appearance, readability, and style.
  • Compile and distribute information relative to program activities, confer with other departments and outside agencies; serve as resource person for program operations.
  • Coordinate arrangements and assist with program activities such as meetings, camps, and other events.
  • Schedule appointments and meetings.
  • Establish and maintain confidential records and files, record statistical information.
  • Prepare narrative and/or statistical reports regarding program operations.
  • Use spreadsheet and database software to develop and maintain records.
  • Deliver survey baseline and follow-up survey assessments with participants as needed.
  • Answer participants’ questions regarding study protocol and/or characteristics of medication; notify appropriate research personnel regarding problems or complications reported by subjects.
  • Review and explain consent forms, questionnaires, and surveys with prospective subjects.
  • Inventory and order supplies.
  • Travel to intervention sites for intervention planning support to the Program Coordinator and team.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned.
    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • High school graduation or equivalent AND Two years of clerical experience.
  • OR Equivalent education/experience.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • General computer skills.
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • One year of college-level course work in relevant academic area.
  • Knowledge and/or experience of Choctaw or Indigenous culture.
  • Experience working with youth, or
  • One year of experience working in health, education, or social services.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in variable weather conditions.
  • Can comfortably lift 30 lbs.
