This position is located in Atlanta, GA and requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week. No relocation is offered.

This role focuses on the expansion of GenAI capabilities across Cricket Wireless through building features which support the adoption of the Ask AT&T platform across Cricket Wireless. In this role you will have the opportunity to create value with GenAI across customer, care and retail experiences.

Design, develop/code, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality software solutions, ensuring efficient delivery processes and production support with a focus on automation and industry best practices.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Design, Development and Coding: Design and code software applications by applying various programming languages to execute development methodologies. (Software Engineers MUST design AND code applications at a minimum.)

Collaboration and Communication: Gather and review software requirements, provide estimates, create design specifications, and work with engineers/architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions.

Testing and Debugging: Develop and implement automated test plans, validate test environments, data, and results, design and implement code fixes, and produce reporting.

Maintenance and Support: Troubleshoot and resolve application configuration and environment issues.

Deployment: Facilitate and support the software deployment process.

Leads significant projects with strategic autonomy, influencing executive decisions. Coding skills

Proficiency in Java or Python

Rest APIs

Microservices principles

MongoDB

Public Cloud experience (Azure is preferred)

Automated unit test frameworks like Junit & mock frameworks

Kubernetes experience

Experience with messaging frameworks like JMS, Service Bus, Kafka.

Process

AGILE development and SCRUM experience

Understand the concept of a vertical slice story/feature

Understand the concept of tasking

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired in Computer Science. 7+ years of related experience. Certification is required in some areas.

Our Principal Software Engineers earn between $141,300 - $211,900 of TSR. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
