DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: Harborview Medical Center (HMC) is enhancing its clinical research capabilities through a dedicated
Ambulatory Research and Clinical Trials Center. In collaboration with the
UW School of Medicine (SOM), Clinical Trials Office (CTO), and Translational Research Unit (TRU), this suite will prioritize exceptional clinical research, inclusivity, and community engagement, focusing on serving diverse and underserved populations. The Manager of the Ambulatory Research and Clinical Trials Center will manage the operational and administrative aspects of the Research Center, supporting strategic objectives by ensuring efficient operations, compliance with regulatory standards, and high-quality service delivery. This role requires strong leadership skills, research administration experience, and the ability to manage complex projects and workflows

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage the operational and administrative aspects of the Research Center, supporting strategic objectives by ensuring efficient operations, compliance with regulatory standards, and high-quality service delivery
Exercise independent judgement to be accountable for overseeing, coordinating, and managing business operations (including financial and related information systems), utilization management and productivity for the Ambulatory Research and Clinical Trials Center at HMC
Develop protocols and workflows for the new space and working with researchers, medical leadership, SOM, CTO, TRU, and HMC Leadership
Accountable for UW Medicine’s mission, Patients are First goals, and the achievement of the Triple Aim (Service, Education, and Research)
Adherence to the Service Culture Guidelines serves as a foundation for the work of this role and direction of the organization
Work with UW School of Medicine (SOM), Clinical Trials Office (CTO), and Translational Research Unit (TRU) to achieve these and other UW Medicine goals and objectives
Provides leadership of the clinic and sets direction in accordance with organizational goals and objectives
Works with the medical staff and nursing leadership to coordinate medical and nursing management of patient care
Collaborates directly with Assistant Administrator and Medical Director regarding budget, access, referral/volume development, and physician productivity
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, or Social Work
RN license to practice in the state of Washington
At least 3 years of experience in research administration or a related field, with demonstrated leadership capabilities
