Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Hospital Assistant .
WORK SCHEDULES AVAILABLE Full-time, 100% FTE, Variable Shift
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
The OR is staffed around the clock and performs over 18,000 cases per year.
We have 25 individual OR suites in the basement spread between the West and North wings as well as the Maleng building.
We support 11 different surgical specialties.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
Work in a diverse and fast-paced environment
Support a busy 24 x 7 surgical services operation
OR CNAs clean and restock procedure rooms with supplies, remove used or excess equipment and supplies, set up exam rooms, assist with cleaning the operating room as patients are discharged
OR CNAs at Harborview support our UW Medicine Patients Are First Initiative
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist medical and nursing staff by performing delegated tasks
Transport patients, supplies, and specimens
Order and stock supplies
Maintain / set up of special equipment
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Nursing Assistant-Certified (NAC) with the State of Washington required
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Six months experience involving customer service in a health care setting OR six months experience involving direct patient care OR equivalent education/experience.
Valid American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers upon hire
