ABOUT THE JOB:
You're a modern marketer with a blend of creativity and organizational skills. You have a proven track record of creating content that drives results, particularly through SEO, email marketing, and cross-functional collaboration with sales teams. You’re comfortable managing multiple responsibilities and thrive in a fast-paced environment, using tools like SEMrush and Screaming Frog to optimize SEO performance. Additionally, you have the confidence to lead customer interviews and translate feedback into actionable insights that connect directly to marketing goals and enhance our brand voice.
In this position, you will take charge of developing, executing, and optimizing SEO-driven content, email marketing campaigns, and social media strategies. Your work will be measured by its impact on key marketing KPIs, such as website traffic, email performance, and SEO rankings.
Our ideal candidate is analytical, creative, and results-oriented. You’ll collaborate closely with the sales team and have experience in B2B marketing, especially in SaaS environments. Experience managing social media content calendars would be helpful for success in the role, particularly LinkedIn.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Write SEO-focused content and optimize it using tools like SEMrush and Screaming Frog
- Create and iterate email marketing campaigns, analyzing performance and making frequent iterations
- Join customer interviews and collaborate closely with sales to understand customer desires and anxieties
- Execute and improve social media strategies, including building and maintaining social calendars and demonstrating progress
- Manage projects alongside the marketing team within a structured project management process using two-week sprints in Jira
- Welcome the opportunity to connect your work directly to results through SEO performance, website traffic, email campaigns, social media following, and more
- Balance creativity with data-driven decision-making, proactively suggesting ways to improve campaign outcomes
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Minimum 4 years of content writing experience
- Minimum 2 years working on SEO focused content
- Minimum 2 years of B2B marketing experience, ideally in a SaaS environment
- Experienced in writing great content with a confident point of view
- Proven ability to use SEO tools such as SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and Google Analytics
- Experience in email marketing—writing copy, analyzing performance, and making adjustments
- Comfortable speaking to different types of people - such as managing customer interviews and building relationships with sales teams
- Creative, yet analytical mindset, that enjoys working on A/B tests of content and headlines
- Experience producing work through project management tools such as Jira, Asana, Monday, etc
- Familiarity with the US higher education system–either as a student, or as a professional
- Comfortable working on social media content, particularly for LinkedIn
- Experience building and/or maintaining a strong, clear brand voice
- Able to work effectively with a manager based in a remote office
WITHIN 3 MONTHS YOU WILL:
- Develop a solid understanding of our product, customers, and SEO strategy
- Gain a firm grasp on our target market and industries
- Establish relationships with the sales and product teams, actively participating in cross-functional meetings
- Join customer interviews to gather valuable insights–and jump into content creation
- Begin to take ownership of onsite SEO, looking for low-hanging fruit opportunities
- Understand the Guidebook ‘tone of voice’, and begin to form an opinion on how to enhance that
- Work alongside our Demand Generation Specialist to scope out the email marketing opportunities that hold the most value
- Get comfortable with our current social media strategies and begin preparing to take them to the next level
WITHIN 6 MONTHS YOU WILL:
- Analyze and optimize content for SEO, measuring rankings and setting targets
- Regularly update email marketing campaigns based on performance data
- Execute test campaigns to refine messaging and improve engagement
- Create and launch a social media calendar
- Ensure the project management process on content projects is running smoothly with clear timelines and outcomes
WITHIN 12 MONTHS YOU WILL:
- Establish SEO and email marketing as key drivers of marketing results, with measurable success
- Refine and standardize best practices for content creation and SEO strategies
- Build out automation for scalable email and social media strategies
- Deliver consistent improvements in SEO rankings and performance metrics
- Lead efforts to maintain and enhance brand voice across marketing channels
- Demonstrate strong campaign performance through detailed reporting and analysis
- Improve social media strategies based on content performance, competitor analysis, and audience feedback

COMPENSATION:
The salary range for this role is $60,000-75,000 annually (including variable quarterly bonuses), depending on relevant experience.
