POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
Responsible for two campuses, UW Medical Center-Montlake and UW Medical Center-Northwest
Provides strategic leadership and operational guidance to the Ambulatory Division
Operational direction for a significant portion of the Ambulatory Divisions procedural and business areas
Administratively coordinates and directs the operational, financial and personnel activities for Ambulatory Department’s services of the Medical Center based on philosophy of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI)
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
UW Medical Center Ambulatory Care Division
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees management of 150 to 250 FTE’s
Functions as a full partner in the management of the Ambulatory Care Division as the responsible leader for the oversight of effective procedural & business operations across the ambulatory care division (ACD) to support efficient, high-quality patient care delivery, optimal revenue cycle, continuous performance improvement, and patient-centered business practices
Facilitates identification of performance improvement opportunities; provide support to managers and staff to strategize changes that ensure positive business and financial outcomes
Oversight of new programs/projects, including business plan coordination and pre-proposal review, to ensure that initiatives are in alignment with overall strategic goals of the organization.
Responsible for collection, development and presentation of all divisional operational reporting - including regular and ad hoc benchmarking, financial, access, and productivity
Oversee and provide general support for performance improvement initiatives related to procedural and business financial management, clinic and practice management and be comfortable and conversant with the tools and techniques associated with process improvements, change management, and major systems change through the use of group processes
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master Degree in business, healthcare or related field
5 years of Ambulatory Clinic Operations management experience. Academic Health Care experience.
5 years ambulatory leadership experience in a complex multi-specialty setting to include financial management, clinic/practice management, and change management.
5 years academic healthcare experience working directly with departments and their leadership.
