ABOUT THE TEAM Basis' Product team guides the innovation and development of our comprehensive tech platform, Basis. This team blends focus, collaboration, and creativity to fulfill our mission in creating a transformative tool that makes work more streamlined and fulfilling for those who power the ad tech industry. Customer experience is at the forefront of this team’s work—and also includes market research, cross-departmental stakeholder collaboration, user testing, communicating feature requests to engineers and designers, monitoring impact of new feature rollouts, measuring returns on product investments, and more. Together, they leverage their diverse industry experience and talent to brainstorm new ideas, iterate on old ones, and create the best possible product for our customers.
WAYS YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE We’re looking for someone who is excited to work with a dedicated group of product managers, designers, and engineers to solve problems facing online marketers today. The Director of Product Management oversees a team of Product Managers working on our demand-side platform (DSP).
- Developing a deep understanding the advertising industry and the process of digital ad campaign management
- Cultivating a deep understanding of the customer and be able to clearly articulate their needs.
- Identifying and validating new product opportunities and incorporate them into your long-term product vision.
- Prioritizing and breaking down complex problems into steps that drive product design and development.
- Managing tradeoffs in time, capabilities, and cost during development to achieve product goals.
- Defining and evaluating product metrics to make data-driven decisions.
- Communicating product plans and status to internal stakeholders.
- Passionately serving as the internal and external evangelist for your product.
- Analyzing competitive offerings and understand how your product is comparatively viewed by customers.
- Collaborating with Basis teams to create coordinated release strategies and help everyone understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer.
What You Bring To The Table
- At least 5 years leading a product management team, ideally in building SaaS, cloud-based applications
- Ad tech experience; ideally prior experience at a company with a DSP or ad exchange/SSP

- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
$150,000 - $257,000 a year Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual salary is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The total compensation package for this position may also include commission or bonus, company equity, and competitive benefits.
