As an Animation Supervisor, you will ensure quality performances across Apex’s character and hard surface assets. You will accomplish this by managing the work of the animation teams, working directly with the senior leaders of the studio and across the franchise, and ensuring the appropriate technologies, methodologies, and skills are being used to maximum effectiveness.
You will:
- Partner with the Animation Director, acting as an ambassador for the vision across multiple animation teams with a focus on scale.
- Work with the Production team to achieve all technical, schedule and budgetary requirements
- Capture and provide daily feedback and guidance to the animation team
- Guide the evolution strategy of the animation pipeline
- Establish efficient animation procedures in collaboration with engineering and techart.
Working directly with:
- The creative and visual leadership to oversee the animation direction, style, quality, and execution
- Designers and engineers to achieve compelling performances that match the overall game quality and expectations
- Technical animators, character riggers and modelers to ensure our characters move & deform beautifully
- VFX and tech-art leads to ensure harmony across all animated elements
- External developers to ensure continuity of quality at scale
Skills you have:
- 8+ years of directing animation with excellent credentials, ideally with a focus on FPS.
- A great eye for style and quality, combined with a deep technical skill set
- Team leadership, people and mentoring skills
- Experience in visual and technical innovation
- Able to inspire and lead teams to accomplish high quality within time and budget
- Able to guide a team to balance creative goals with the requirements of production
- Organization and direction of actors and other motion capture talent
- Knowledge of common practices and the understanding of industry trends
US COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
BASE SALARY RANGES
• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):
o $138,200 - $219,000 USD Annually
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
