Job Description
Role Overview:
EA's Quality Verification team is looking for a Software Engineer to join the automation team. You will be part of a quality verification team that aims to provide automation scripts of game features. You will receive requirements from the QV and development team, write automation scripts, participate in code review, and build tools and scripts for the team.
What you'll do:
- You will develop automation solutions and VA tools based on projects and management needs: including development of automated test framework, test scripts for web-based services and games.
- You will work with QV, developers, and product managers to improve automated tests coverage.
- You will evaluate and adopt technologies which improve QV team efficiency and platform capability.
- You will maintain test script codebase to respond to feature changes.
- You will participate in code reviews for all completed work.
- You will report to the Development Director.
What you will need to be successful :
- 3+ years working experience in Automation.
- 1+ years experience writing code using C++/ C# and Object-Oriented Programming concepts.
- 1+ years experience with Selenium and the Page Object Model design pattern or similar
- 1+ years experience with one or more scripting languages (Python, Lua)
- Experience with a testing framework (Nunit, Xunit, Junit).
- Decision-making, debugging ability, and being able to detect and fix defects.
- Understanding of software testing best practices and patterns.
- Experience participating in all aspects of Scrum: planning, daily standup, and retrospectives.
Bonus Skills
- Demonstrated experience with iOS and Android software development.
- Experience writing automation for large-scale game engines.
- Passionate about gaming and quality.
- Familiarity with Subversion (SVN) can be beneficial.
- Experience with a data warehouse like Snowflake, Redshift, or Spark
