You will ideally already be operating as a confident and passionate senior people partner, who is ready to pick up the reins and support DAZN’s chief technology officer to drive commercially aligned people strategies. The CTO looks after our global technology, operations, customer service, and product teams, spanning 2000 people, across the UK, Poland, Europe, and India. The priorities of this role may shift, so flexibility to work within several areas and pivot to work on new strategies quickly is very important. This is a full 360 people position, fundamental in ensuring the business structure and culture is set up for success and aligned to our business plans. This role will suit someone who is a confident people partner who thrives from leading a team and operating in a fast-paced and challenging environment. You won’t be afraid to dive in, gather relevant information, and create a point of view, but also be flexible to work within several areas and handle changes in direction or new priorities.
As our new Head of People you'll have the opportunity to:
- Be a trusted people partner to our Chief Technology Officer, working closely with and as part of their leadership team to understand strategic outcomes and build out a prioritised plan of activity.
- Operating model and org design – you will deliver future-focused organisation designs, enabling your business areas to build high-performing teams through increased engagement, capability, and skills development.
- Develop a clear global workforce plan – supporting the operational strategy, working collaboratively with the leadership, Talent Acquisition team, and the finance teams as well as across the people team to come up with plans to ensure we have the right skills in the right places at the right time.
- Transformation – support our leaders with enabling their people transformation plans, helping our leaders develop people change programmes to deliver the strategic business aims.
- Strategic Advisor – develop a strong understanding of the key business goals, challenges, and opportunities and the different commercial and people levers that influence them. You will be naturally curious, able to think holistically to connect different moving parts, and be comfortable providing pragmatic advice and constructive challenge to senior leaders and their team.
- Trusted Coach – you will have a unique position at the intersection of strategy, organisation, and talent; a key element of the role is giving advice, counsel, and coaching to critical stakeholders.
- Support with the workforce planning and org design transition project to Hyderabad – this includes building key stakeholder relationships, supporting with collaboration and new projects.
- Define the people agenda and priorities for the technology, operations, and product function – a people agenda which will impact c. 2000 employees across DAZN.
- Lead a team of globally distributed People Partners to help deliver the overarching people strategy for the CTO function.
- Be an active member of the people team, working across the people function to develop relationships and improve ways of working – proactively sharing knowledge and leading on functional change projects.
- Ensure that engagement and communication is front of mind for the CTO leadership, ensuring that they are connected with the teams they lead, continually focus on setting the vision/strategy, and communicate progress and priorities to ensure people know where we are heading, why we are heading there, and the value that they bring.
You'll have:
- Extensive experience in a people partnering capacity, ideally partnering across a global employee group, and in a matrixed organisational environment.
- Experience of working with and building strong relationships with executive level leaders, showing a strong skill set in constructive and pragmatic challenge and collaboration with your business partners.
- Proven experience of managing complex employee relations issues.
- Proven experience in leading and managing complex re-structure and organisational change programmes.
- Ability to apply a pragmatic, proactive, and logical approach when solving people challenges.
- Ability to prioritise, set a clear direction, and be a role model within the function, and for your team.
- Experience of organisational design and architecture, able to work with leaders to evolve and define the future of their function.
- Adaptable and able to take both a strategic and ‘hands-on’ approach.
- Credible, proactive professional with excellent judgment and the ability to instil confidence in others.
- Great communicator, both written and oral, with the ability to clearly present information to others.
- Experience of working across multiple geographies, including Europe, UK, and India.
