Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that supports the independently incorporated Planned Parenthood affiliates operating health centers across the U.S. Planned Parenthood Action Fund is an independent, nonpartisan, not-for-profit membership organization formed as the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. The Action Fund engages in educational, advocacy, and electoral activity, including grassroots organizing, legislative advocacy, and voter education. The Stronger Change Office (Stronger ) is an affiliate-driven health care transformation office designed by, for, and with health center affiliate leadership across the country. We are focused on strengthening affiliates and facilitating the innovation needed to build the Planned Parenthood of the future. Stronger seeks a Project Manager to support the execution of Stronger’s Staffing Initiative portfolios. This job reports to the Director of Affiliate Workforce Transformation in the Stronger Change Office, and within Federation Engagement & Impact of PPFA. Purpose: The Project Manager, Affiliate Health Care Workforce will support the planning, analysis, design, and execution of Stronger’s Staffing Initiative project portfolios with the guidance of the Director of Affiliate Workforce Transformation. This role actively contributes to supporting affiliates by exploring and implementing solutions to support their recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives. Delivery: ● Identify and research best practices, resources, and tools to address staff shortages, support onboarding, and enhance retention. Synthesize findings and provide recommendations to the team. ● Support the development and management of project portfolios and their timeline, conducting through analysis to identify areas for improvement, and conducting effective strategies to enhance overall project outcomes. ● Monitor the project implementation by developing feedback surveys to evaluate the projects’ effectiveness. Ensure data is accurately collected and analyzed. ● Draft and prepare project timeline, materials, reports, and communications tailored for diverse internal and external stakeholders, encompassing a wide range of audiences, such as project coordinators, analysts, and C-Suite executives. This includes one-pagers, presentations, and handouts on active projects. ● Ensure all project-related documents, including meeting notes and action items, are accurately recorded and easily accessible for future reference. ● Coordinate all aspects of project activities, including scheduling meetings, tracking progress, and ensuring that timelines and milestones are met. Engagement: ● Present project updates and findings to the Stronger Change Office, PPFA National Office, and affiliates to support timely project development and monitoring. ● Proactively identify operational issues or risks in project execution and service delivery, and develop mitigation plans to address these challenges effectively. ● Maintain open and effective communication with affiliates, ensuring they are aware of available resources, support, and project updates. ● Engage with affiliates to gather feedback and input to inform and enhance project development and execution. ● Explain project goals, strategies, and outcomes to stakeholders, fostering alignment and support. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs): ● Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in project management within a complex organization. ● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, preferably in healthcare or a related field. ● Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly with a dynamic, fast-moving team, completing multiple tasks with poise, accuracy, and confidence. ● Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including experience with data analysis. ● Proven efficiency in conducting surveys and interpreting survey data. ● Strong, clear and concise verbal and written communication skills, including presentations, email, and other communications platforms ● Proactive, self-directed and can work alone or in a team. ● High proficiency in Google products and knowledge of Project Management tools (e.g. Asana). ● Flexibility and ability to adapt to quickly changing priorities and ambiguous situations. ● Knowledge of the current healthcare landscape is preferred. ● Commitment to PPFA’s mission and diversity, equity, and inclusion, particularly surrounding race equity. ● A deep commitment to Planned Parenthood’s mission of promoting Sexual and Reproductive Health Travel: 10-15% domestic travel. $90,000 - $100,000 a year Total offer package to include generous vacation + sick leave + paid holidays, individual/family provided medical, dental and vision benefits effective day 1, life insurance, short/long term disability, paid family leave and 401k.
