CGI is seeking to hire a Senior DevOps Engineer who can work in a high paced agile environment. Engineer must be a highly motivated, well-rounded, self-starter that works best in a collaborative, dynamic, agile environment. Excellent communication skills both written and oral are also essential as this position will interface with remote scrum teams, business owners, enterprise architects, security, infrastructure, and end users via email, phone, IM, desktop sharing, and wiki.
This Full Time Employment opportunity can be performed from: Raleigh, NC (Preferred), Hartford, CT, Lafayette, LA, Chattanooga, TN in a hybrid environment.
• Single point of contact for an distributed application suite in a System Team to ensure Environment readiness for multiple assets in the ecosystem.
• Primary point of contact for the system team addressing environmental issues of 5-6 Scrum teams using the infrastructure.
• Flexible and quick to react to environmental support and have good decision making skill to prioritize the environmental issues/requests.
• Work with System Team Manager to strategize and stand up consistent environments and set guardrails to ensure Environments are not broken.
• Work collaboratively with Development Scrum teams to make sure they receive necessary environment support and they do not impact the sanctity of the environments by skipping process.
• Provide CI-CD support as needed.
• 100% Hands-on support
• Document Environment current state, proposed steps and guidelines in Confluence.
This role requires strong proficiency with advanced concepts and have 5+ years of relevant, hands-on experience in many of the following areas to be a successful contributor on the team:
• Experience with Windows server migration
• Database SQL experience – SQL Server or Oracle
• Maintain, configure Source Code Management (SCM) - GitHUB/GITLAB
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test and production environments
• Technical expertise - infrastructure as a code using ansible automation, config as code using groovy script, DevOps toolchain Gitlab, TFS, Jenkins, uDeploy, Ansible tower, sonarqube, Veracode, Artifactory/Nexus.
• Lead CI/CD and operational automation on various enterprise technology platforms Linux, Windows, AWS, containerization orchestration(Openshift/Docker) over technology assets like ETL, Databases (SQL, Oracle), microservices, Java services, scripts, python, terraform.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines as applicable partnering with Delivery teams
• Continuously look for ways to improve current DevOps practices enabling self-service and innovation.
• Maintain cutting edge knowledge of current and emerging technologies, industry trends and standards, DevSecOps best practices.
• Environment management and troubleshooting, splunk/Dynatrace monitoring
• Creating real-time monitoring, metrics and alerts across all applications
• Participate in production deployment and planning activities.
• System troubleshooting and problem resolution across various application domains and platforms.
• Create and manage a Docker deployment pipeline for custom application images in the cloud using Jenkins.
Desired Skills:
• Good knowledge of AWS services like EC2, S3, Glacier, ELB, RDS, Redshift, IAM, Route 53, VPC, Auto scaling, Cloud Front, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, Cloud Formation, Security Groups
• Experience building and maintaining cloud-native applications
• Provision, configure and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure defined as code

• Teamwork: Candidate must work well with others as part of a distributed agile (SAFe) team of developers, analysts, QA, and more.
• Technical Skills: Candidate must be adept in computer languages and have strong technical aptitude. Must have a solid knowledge with common design patterns should seek out opportunities to implement design patterns.
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $$77,200 - $209,100.
