Our Global Services team provides customers with technical industry expertise and exceptional service. Working in an end-to-end managed service capacity, we monitor and mitigate customer problems and create solutions.

Partner with the best

In this role, you'll develop and execute the services strategy for our growing Security business. Being the primary liaison between the Security Technology Group (STG) and Global Services (GS) aligning business focus. You will manage a team of skilled security services members, integrating end-to-end services with customers to strengthen Akamai's Security business.

As the Senior Director, Security Technology Services you will be responsible for:

• Defining and executing the strategy for scaling and supporting the growth of Akamai's Security Technology business
• Designing and implementing our security services products with the support of the Global Services product team
• Building strategic partnerships with security product leadership and being a liaison between Global Services and the Security Technology Group
• Supporting GTM and large security opportunities, including collaboration, interventions and escalations
• Driving resolutions related to security problems, working to create visibility, support escalation, and align resources
• Collaborating closely with the Support Services organization to scale standardization on product support into the field
• Supporting M&A efforts, from due diligence to incubating, standardizing and training security services post-acquisition

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 12 years experience and a Bachelor's degree in computer science, or equivalent practical experience
• Have experience managing a global services or support team with deep security technology knowledge (WAF, DDoS, APP & API)
• Be skilled at communicating with various levels of the organization, both internally and with customers, with ease
• Have operational capability, possess program and process management skills and use data to solve complex problems
• Be able to make critical decisions and lead cross-functional, communicating succinctly with stakeholders
• Have situational adaptability and effectively lead an organization to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $173,500 - $360,500/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
