THE OPPORTUNITY:

As an Operations Lead, you’ll play a key role in our organization by being responsible for defining quality standards for deliverables, maintaining process adherence, and optimizing team performance.

You’ll report directly to the center ́s managing director, ICC Mexico Head, and together with a group of Initiative Leads such as Scrum Masters or Delivery Managers should work to ensure all teams are following common processes, best practices and standards, as well as providing insights from our initiatives to drive continuous improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborates with GDD&T organization to ensure that resource allocation are adequately planned.
  • Assist in compliance processes and integrating operations reports / KPIs
  • Drives an internal process towards creating standards
  • Draft and operationalize KPI’s for the center in coordination with global qudelines
  • Coordinates with IT services partners around the world

Process Adherence:

  • Monitor and maintain best practices: Ensure that our established processes and guidelines are followed consistently across all teams (e.g.SOPs, SLAs, quality criteria, etc.).
  • Identify process gaps: Continuously assess existing workflows and identify areas for improvement as well as identifying root causes for issues for risk mitigation.
  • Implement program monitoring and track via PMO deliveranles / dashboards

Quality Management:

  • Quality Benchmarks: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish clear quality benchmarks for deliverables.
  • Quality Guidelines: Develop and document quality assurance processes and guidelines.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting quality awareness.

Metrics:

  • Process Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for each pod (team) in partnership with the GCL to monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of specific processes, such as: Downtime, Deployment Frequency, Change Failure Rate, to name a few.
  • Manage process improvement efforts, using quality methodologies and principles.
  • Analyze designated performance measures and reports to verify that work is consistently and effectively performed according to established procedures and guidelines.

Alignment with Global Chapters:

  • Collaboration: Liaise with representatives from 12 different global chapters within the organization.
  • Alignment Strategies: Develop strategies to align chapter-specific goals with overall organizational objectives.
  • Communication Bridge: Serve as a communication bridge between chapters, ensuring consistent messaging and coordination.
  • Capacity Planning: Work closely with the ICC Delivery Lead to optimize resource allocation and workload distribution.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Operations Management or related fields.
  • Certifications (Desirable):
    • Project Management Professional (PMI)
    • Certified Scrum Master or Product Owner (Preferred institutions are Scrum Org, Scrum Alliance,
    • ITIL
    • Lean Six Sigma
  • Relevant experience in a Global Environment working with multidisciplinary teams across the world in different countries and time zones.
  • 10 years of operational experience/PMO working in a technological center or IT development environment
  • Effectively communicate with varying levels of management
  • Collaborative partner able to influence and drive accountability across organizational and domain boundaries.
  • Advocates for needed change across the organization that add to our success.
  • Prior experience in managing supplier and/or customer relationships.
  • Experience with project management in both Waterfall and Agile environments.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and influence others in a matrix setting.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently and prioritize work.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills - professional English required
  • Ability to work in a global, multi-cultural environment.
  • Relevant experience working in a hybrid environment: on-site and virtual.
  • Familiarity and practical experience working in a fast-paced Scaled Agile Environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to structure reports , work in relational databases and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills to empower teams and drive results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills fostering collaboration and building strong relationships
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide teams, team player
  • Previous experience working in a pharmaceutical company is a plus.
  • Green Belt Certified or Black Belt Trained is a plus
