We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in Bangalore, reporting to the supervisor of International Accounting. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced environment, help the company account for transactions, and ensure compliance for a group of Infoblox entities. You will partner with Payroll, Treasury, Accounts Payable, Tax, outside consultants, and HR teams. You will also learn the regulatory environment and filing needs in several countries and be able to apply these skills to various tasks and projects.

What you’ll do:

• Monitor entries posted in the entity’s ledger, ensuring accuracy and relevance
• Close activities, including prepaid entries identification and amortization, reconciliation of balance-sheet accounts, transfer pricing entries, if applicable, roll-forward statements for certain accounts, and accruals from different stakeholders
• Ensure all IA/SOX controls are in place and the testing process is managed periodically, and assist in process walk-throughs when required
• Prepare and explain all schedules associated with statutory or tax audits
• Flux analysis for key balance sheet accounts, including Identification and explanation of trends
• Assist in the transition of key activities from outsourced service providers to COE/SSC
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as Tax, Treasury, Payroll, HR, and FP&A teams to ensure all financial/accounting activity is properly accounted for and explained
• Assist in compliance matters, including direct and indirect tax returns, tax audits, statutory statistical requests, secretarial matters, and other compliance items
• Inter-company accounting and reconciliations, including ensuring proper and legal settlement periodically
• Act as the main point of contact to foreign subsidiaries for all financial matters, to identify and help resolve operational, financial, and strategic issues that impact Infoblox
• Assist with tax provision, withholding taxes, and advance tax calculations

What you’ll bring:

• 5+ years of experience in finance/accounting reporting
• Experience handling international accounting operations from SSC/COE
• Solid knowledge of US GAAP
• Enterprise systems experience required, preferably on Oracle
• Results-oriented with an ability to collaborate with different individuals across the organization, and “roll up your sleeves” attitude to accomplish tasks
• Team player mindset with the ability to complete projects and achieve objectives both independently and as part of the team
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• High level of independence, accountability, teamwork, good judgment and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor’s degree in commerce, accounting, or finance; CPA/CA is a plus
• CA/CWA/ACS Inter and CMA candidates may apply too

What success looks like:

After six months, you will...

• Be fully conversant with the regulatory environment for a group of entities in South Asia or EMEA regions
• Be adept at using Oracle Fusion, both for operational activities like parking journal entries and running reports
• Handle all external and internal queries independently
• Understand the downstream and upstream impact of accounting estimates and positions

After about a year, you will...

• Independently handle the statutory and other ad-hoc audits for a group of entities
• Identify and implement process improvements across regional compliance and accounting activities
• Be a focal point of contact for IT to fix and implement Fusion-related bugs or enhancements
• Drive entity-specific projects from a secretarial and tax perspective
• Focus on identifying and addressing the root cause of errors in account balances and help fix them
• Pursue training and certifications to help you stay current with local accounting rules/pronouncements and be well versed with local tax compliance
