Job Description

In this multi-faceted role, you will be part of the BioLife Europe finance team and work directly with our plasma collection center organization in Austria. With your strong financial management capabilities, cultural sensitivity and open-mindedness for an international work environment, you will act as sparring partner for all financial topics.

Your Opportunity:

  • Business Partner for the Biolife Austria management team and designated BioLife EU support functions (e.g. communications, public affairs)
  • Accounting, controlling and month-end close (MEC) activities for the Biolife EU organizations based in Austria
  • Coordinate and drive Takeda planning cycles (MYC, MRP) for the BioLife Austria organization as well as designated BioLife EU support organizations
  • Provide adhoc support to global BioLife finance and business teams on possible market expansion opportunities
  • Responsible for all financial planning and forecasting related activities
  • Assist as needed the Head of Finance, BioLife Europe (e.g. business development, integrations or other special projects)

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • Completed Master’s degree, preferably in finance or business management, and/ or financial qualifications is a plus
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in finance roles of increased responsibility with extensive exposure to financial planning & analysis as well as accounting/ controlling
  • Prior experience in working in multinational organizations and proven cultural sensitivity are a must
  • Excellent English required, command of German desired
  • Willingness to travel approx. 5% of working time to plasma centers in Austria (on at least a quarterly basis), the rest of the working time can be managed from the office in Vienna (2 days/ week) and home office
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills, ablility to address a variety of both tactical and strategic issues
  • Drive for continuous improvement
  • Ability to analyze complex processes and data sets

Motivated employees must be remunerated accordingly. The minimum salary for this important and responsible position is 5.538,85 gross/month (full time, collective wage agreement for the chemical industry) plus attractive annual bonus. The actual remuneration package will be guided by your professional experience and your qualifications, so increased payment is possible.
