Reporting to the Senior Manager of Experience Design, we are looking for a UX Researcher located in Vancouver, Canada. Joining the Frostbite UX team, you'll collaborate with teams in Melbourne, Australia, and across North America to enhance game developers' experiences at EA.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with our Senior UX Researchers, UX team members, and product teams to identify and refine research goals and strategies
- Translate complex technical and design needs into efficient research methodologies that combine qualitative and quantitative methods
- Plan and scope research approaches to ensure they meet project timelines and goals
- Lead a broad range of generative and evaluative research activities
- Analyze both qualitative and quantitative data to translate research insights into actionable recommendations
- Communicate research findings to team members through written reports and presentations
- Manage participant recruitment processes and databases
- Create research artifacts, and documentation, and help train team members in user research best practices
Required Qualifications
- You will have a degree in Psychology (Social, Cognitive), Human Computer Interaction, Sociology, or a related field, or equivalent industry and/or education experience.
- You will have 3+ years industry experience designing and conducting research using multiple research methodologies
- You will have a portfolio that contains case studies highlighting your research skills in complex systems, demonstrating your process, outcomes, and effect
- You will have solid data analysis skills, including familiarity with statistical analysis software and qualitative analysis tools
- You will have experience tailoring and presenting research findings to different audiences, including product managers, designers and engineers
BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
BASE SALARY RANGES
• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
o $96,400 - $133,900 CAN Annually
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
