Job Description
As our Senior Logistics Manager for Test Track Operations, you will be responsible for all aspects of logistics operations at multiple test track locations. You will be responsible for developing the test track transit strategy and aligning that with our ZR milestones. Additionally, you will be responsible for executing and scaling our inventory management system to ensure we provide a great customer experience and have an operational fleet. Furthermore, this role will implement standardized work across multiple test track facilities to support the ramp in our testing fleet. Additional scope for this position will include supporting the planning and execution of vehicle recovery services for our HQ friends and family operations and any other testing activities at our testing facilities.
In this role, you will:
- Develop a strategy for optimizing test track towing operations emphasizing safety, quality, and cost.
- Develop a strategy for inventory management across multiple test track locations.
- Develop and implement standardized work to support the 24-hour operations of our testing fleet.
- Manage day-to-day logistics operations at multiple test track locations
- Develop and monitor KPIs to ensure continuous improvement in safety, service, quality, and cost
- Communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure Logistics is providing high-quality service. Including but limited to Zoox Logistics, Engineering, Service Operations
Qualifications
- BA/BS Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience in warehouse/logistics operations
- 3+ years of experience managing direct reports in warehouse/logistics operations
- 3+ years of managing drivers or logistic operations
- Experience with WMS systems (preferably SAP), warehouse operations, team development, and customer service
- Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to lead and commute to different operational locations (Altamont/Tracy, specifically) – must be flexible
- Strong work ethic; able to independently own and drive projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Bonus Qualifications
- Previous experience within a tech start-up
- Experience in the AV industry
- Background in automotive/fulfillment operations
- Previous experience with utilizing SAP in an operations or manufacturing environment
- Master’s Degree in a relevant field
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $76,000 to $110,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
